Stereomicroscopes

The laboratory has two stereomicroscopes for use by researchers or students. These microscopes are useful for identifying microfractuces on the surfaces of stone tools. They are also useful for imaging artifacts at low magnifications (<100x).

Reflected Light Microscopes

The laboratory has one reflected light microscope and is in the process of purchasing a second microscope. These microscopes are used to image polish and striations on the surfaces of stone tools. They are useful for any applications that require high magnification.
