This map helped me realize the spatial dimensions of the story. It helps see the total length from his house to where the bazaar is. This map also shows just how far from the center of the city he is. He is just outside the city and right next to a industrial canal in a part of town that wasn't that great. This map tells a lot about how he goes from a dirty part of town to a much nicer part of town that is also in James Joyce's theme of growing up and maturing.
