Welcome to the Anne S. Woolslayer Russian Studies Room, a unique learning facility for TU students! Located on the first floor of Oliphant Hall, the Russian Room is a place where students and Russian culture meet in an environment that is “ideal, beautiful and comfortable for learning,” as Professor Elena Doshlygina points out. The room was built in 2000 on a generous donation from the Anne S. Woolslayer Foundation, made by a former TU student Joe Woolslayer. |

With soft shades of green, comfortable rocking chairs and no desks, the room creates a cozy, relaxing, and stress-free environment to make communication easier and more enjoyable. Russia speaks off the walls through the icons, maps and photographs on the walls, as well as through a collection of souvenirs, books and photo albums in the cabinets. The room also holds a wide collection of Russian movies--if you would like to see a few, just ask Professor Doshlygina! |
