International Student Relations
International Student Relations is a department of Cabinet that aims to improve the relationships between domestic and international students, to foster an environment of cultural diversity and understanding, and to provide a platform that allows the diversity on our campus to shine through various events and collaborations.
We look forward to creating numerous opportunities for students to be able to learn and experience other cultures that have a presence on our campus, as well as for students to be able to showcase their cultural backgrounds and traditions.
Diversity and Multiculturalism
As the Department of Diversity and Multiculturalism in Student Association, we believe the campus climate of domestic diversity can be one of inclusion, understanding, tolerance and care. Our mission is to improve the experience of all students at the University of Tulsa, with a particular focus on domestic multiculturalism. Our department is built of dedicated and driven student leaders whose thoughts and suggestions strengthen us as we seek to inspire and make a positive impact on campus. We also serve as a liaison between the student body and TU administration. We encourage the student body to challenge us and each other to push the norm and break down barriers that exist in society at large. Our core values include but are not limited to inclusivity, growth, progress, equality, collaboration, learning, solidarity, boldness, integrity, and unity. Lastly, we envision our entire campus as a safe zone rather than having only select safe space on campus. Please email us if you have any thoughts or suggestions on programming events or how to live out this mission. We are here to serve you.
Service is an important part of TU culture. Our own president, Dr. Clancy, coined the hashtag #TUforceforgood. There are many opportunities to be involved with service at TU, and the department of Community Service aims to provide additional avenues to give back to the Tulsa community.
