Special Collections launches a new Digital Collections presence

We are announcing that Special Collections has added a new system for displaying digital collections called ContentDM. This is a well-known product from OCLC, and the administration has given us approval to try it out. You can find the first collection, the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921, at McFarlin Library, Department of Special Collections, Digital Collections. We have also restructured the layout on the main departmental web site, separating out Online Exhibits and Digital Collections. The Online Exhibits tend to be the older displays that we’ve had online for some time now.

We are still using our Flickr page, but some of the images may have been moved to the ContentDM database.

You may have noticed that the banner above has changed in the past week. As we were implementing CDM, it became obvious that we had a number of different banners for our web materials. We are trying to bring them all under the same banner to generate continuity where ever possible.
