For the past year, we have been fortunate enough to have Ashley Schoppe, a doctoral candidate in the English Department, serving as our Graduate (Administrative) Assistant. I would like to take the opportunity to recognize her outstanding, and often overlooked, efforts in keeping track of the workflow with our patrons, cleaning up old collections and overseeing their transfer into Archivist’s Toolkit, as well as riding herd over this blog. She is leaving to spend more time with her degree studies, and she will be missed.
This year we are starting something a little different. With the generous help of our McFarlin Library friends Andy and Helen MacKay, we will be starting with Nick Geiger, a Master’s student in History, and Kristina Rosenthal, a Master’s student in the Museum Studies program. We are looking forward to both of them and what they can bring to the department.
