Ewa Monika Zebrowski: Finding Wyeth

Wyethpic

The University of Tulsa’s Department of Special Collections and University Archives would like to cordially invite our students, faculty, patrons, and the community in general, to our new exhibition titled Finding Wyeth. Finding Wyeth is a photographic essay created by photographer Ewa Monika Zebrowski. Ms. Zebrowski’s work is a celebration of the opus of American realist painter Andrew Wyeth, in the form of a first-person photographic journey into the Olson House in Cushing, Maine.

Our exhibition consists of a copy of the original limited edition artist’s book, edition of 20., as well as a number of prints of different sizes, showing different parts of the Olson House. These items are complemented by cards with Ms. Zebrowski’s poetry, inspired by the sense of stillness and peace evoked by the images. Our visitors are able to glimpse into the space where Wyeth gave free rein to his inspiration and created over 300 of his masterpieces, including his iconic painting Christina’s World.
