Oklahoma Library Legends medallions

In 2007, the Oklahoma Library Association held a celebration of a century of Librarianship since statehood, and created an award called the Library Legend Awards, giving out 100 retroactively (since then, one a year has been presented). McFarlin Library, The University of Tulsa, received two of these for two librarians in our history, Eugenia Maddox and Leta Dover (née Sowter).

The Awards were presented to Francine J. Fisk, Associate Dean of McFarlin Library, for Eugenia Maddox, and Charles E. Brooks, Electronic Resources Librarian, for Leta Dover. They, in turn, recently presented the medallions to Special Collections as part of the ongoing history of the library.
