Yesterday we had a visit from Christian Dupont, a representative from Atlas Systems. He gave a presentation about Aeon, a request and workflow management software for special collections. It would allow patrons to register as readers and request items directly from the online catalog. Based on the ILLiad interface, it will be familiar to any patron who has ever placed an interlibrary loan request. We were very impressed with Aeon’s capabilities, and we look forward to being able to use this software in the future.
