About the SSC:
SSC stands for the Saudi students' club and in this case at the University of Tulsa. It represents around 200 students (self-sponsored or on a scholarship)
, thus, we are the biggest foreign club or association on campus, number-wise per foreign country. We usually participate in the TU events and activities, after permission from the ISS,
on campus or off campus, that are non profitable; geared towards enriching and exchanging our cultural experiences and personal skills. Every year, an election takes place to
decide who is the new president and the other officers. These elections follow certain terms and conditions set by the Saudi Arabian cultural mission (SACM) to make sure that the
elections are democratic and the officers will be qualified. Currently, the SSC is led by Shakir Al Mujhad, a senior student at the ENS College majoring in petroleum engineering,
for this year (2011 - 2012).
