Current Employment: 
The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Neuropsychology Residency in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a 2-year position focusing on in- and outpatient neuropsychology and rehabilitation in adult populations. Referrals for the various rotations come from multiple sources for traumatic brain injury, stroke, memory disorders, epilepsy, and other neurological problems. In addition to independent practice as a neuropsychologist, as an APPCN member program, completion of the residency qualifies the individual for fast-track board certification in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology.

Current Employment: 
  I am currently completing a postdoc residency at a private practice setting in rural Missouri. I mostly serve low income, high risk populations. I specialize in trauma and foster care, although I see all ages and disorders.

Current Employment: Self-Employed- Johna Kay Smasal, Ph.D., PLLC– my work includes supervising one current post-doctoral resident  and one TU undergraduate; conducting evaluations for Social Security Administration; conducting parenting capacity evaluations for parents who’s children have been removed by DHS in a grant-funded pilot project, conducting ADHD, ASD, and other psychological evaluations for children and maintaining a small but diverse psychotherapy client load.  I also enjoy adjunct teaching at Southern Nazarene University for students enrolled in the Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy program (Counseling Children and Adolescents) and adjunct teaching at TU (whatever bone they’ll throw me!)

Postdoctoral Site: University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center
Current Employment: I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Oklahoma and Massachusetts. Currently, I am a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. I provide evidence-based therapy and assessment to children, adolescents, and families. I supervise practicum students, interns, and postdoctoral fellows.

Post doctoral Site: Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Department of Psychology – Child/Pediatric Psychology
Current Employment: Licensed clinical psychologist with Tripler Army Medical Center, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services, School Behavioral Health Team.  Serving as both the Curriculum Specialist of this program and as the Program Coordinator of the Tripler’s Early Behavioral Health Team. TAMC, Child Psychiatry Resident Program faculty member and adjunct faculty at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
