To raise awareness about the meaning of the word "feminist" and lessen the media-cultivated stigma associated with the term, CWI set up a table on Sharp Plaza and asked passers-by if they believed in the notion of "social, political, and economic equality for all people regardless of class, creed, gender, race, or sexual orientation." Those who said yes were informed that they were aligning themselves with feminist values, and with their permission, CWI took Polaroids and added them to the "Faces of Feminism" bulletin board, which was covered with snapshots by the end of the day.
