7 October 2006: BLGTA sponsored a TU-wide group of students in the Tulsa AIDS Walk benefiting the National AIDS Fund AmeriCorps Team serving Tulsa HIV/AIDS prevention and care organizations and their clients. A record number of TU participants - 24 registered and many more walked - rose $585 and won an award for best college team. The walk raised $26,023 for the National AIDS Foundation AmeriCorps team.
