Title

Three Years or the Duration: The Memoirs of a Munition Worker 1914-1918

Description

The Special Collections at McFarlin Library is the curator of Lady Peggy Hamilton’s typescript and photos, summarizing employment of an English munition worker during the Great War. The typescript has hand written revisions throughout the manuscript.

The documents are separated into folders, which are then boxed. There are two full boxes of Lady Peggy Hamilton’s manuscript.
Every typescript page has hand written revisions; some are for page formatting where others are meant to cut out misspelling, help with transitions, and to clean the overall manuscript. Folder 2A has small photos taped to a regular sized paper, which also has the dimensions hand written in blue ink.

The photo used as the thumbnail is Lady Peggy Hamilton’s (Peggy Wills) identity card for the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. It is dated April 28, 1916.

The McFarlin Library also has the final copy of Three Years or the Duration by Peggy Hamilton call No. HD6073.M82 G744 1978
