Description
A magazine published by Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps. It includes articles, letters, poems, etc., all of which are submissions gathered from women at other camps and published by the Princess Beatrice Camp.
The Q.M.A.A.C. enabled women to go abroad and take jobs in cooking, mechanical, clerical, and miscellaneous fields, freeing the men who would normally work those jobs to serve in the trenches.
The submissions included in this magazine are from women who are stationed across France, and provides them a literary outlet and friendly competition within the magazine for the best piece. It maintains a lively and upbeat tone throughout and provides a new perspective on women's efforts in the war.
