The poster is designed to appeal to women on the home front based on the gender role of motherhood and attempts to elicit an emotional response that would lead to the purchase of war bonds. The central figure is portrayed as one of affluence, she wears nice clothes, has jewelry and looks very fresh, this depicts American women as being safe and, in a position, to help their sons financially.
