Title

Carroll P. Crosby's Diary of 1918

Subject

The diary kept by an American WWI soldier training and fighting in France in 1918. Contains entries beginning January 1st and ending December 27th.

Description

The diary is bound in dark leather and is small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. Dates are printed at the top and middle of each page, starting January 1st and ending December 31st. The pages are yellow and otherwise unadorned. Crosby writes in various colors of ink throughout the year (occasionally pencil) and almost every date contains an entry. Entries tend to focus on various details of Crosby's daily life and there is little information on battles or combat.
