In the past decades, the stacks of McFarlin Library have become full of materials, and as is common in the academic library world, the University has acquired an offsite storage area. As mentioned in a previous blog entry, The Department of Special Collections and University Archives has taken advantage of that off-site storage facility to free up some room for our future growth and commitments. Those collections that are most commonly used by our patrons, along with our unprocessed collections, will remain on-site in the library. Although the other collections will be housed at our off-site storage facility, these will continue to remain available to all patrons, as long as Special Collections receives advanced notice. We are continuing to update our finding aids and catalog, ensuring we provide the most up-to-date information for all patrons.
